OTD ADJUNCT PROFESSOR

OTD, Bay Path University; MS, Rush University; BS, Central Michigan University

Dr. Cathleen Johnson’s 25+ year career in healthcare spans two professions - Occupational Therapy (OT) and Therapeutic Recreation (TR). She graduated from BPU in 2019 and currently works as a Division Rehab Director and adjunct professor.

Dr. Johnson has held clinical roles, management (center-level, regional, and divisional), and is now a corporate director for OT. She serves the profession of OT by being a volunteer NBCOT and serving as an advisory member for two universities and a local hospital.

Last month, Dr. Johnson was inducted into the National Academies of Practice (NAP) for Occupational Therapy as a fellow! She said she was honored to be considered for membership of NAP to promote inter-professionalism: "I have worked with music, art, physical, and speech therapy along with TR and OT; these work experiences have provided me with the capacity to understand the distinct value of each profession while learning how to exude the value of my own discipline."
