Gregory Goussak, DBA

A native of Las Vegas, Nevada. His educational background includes a B.S. in Hotel Administration from UNLV earned in 1984, a M.S. in Hotel Administration from UNLV in 1994 and my Doctor of Business Administration degree in 2009 from the University of Phoenix.

Teaching experience began as an adjunct professor in the UNLV William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration. For 27 years taught evening courses in hospitality accounting and finance. On-line teaching career began at the University of the Southwest’s MBA program in 2008 specializing in the qualitative courses (e.g. Research, Leadership, Multinational Financial Management and Thesis/Capstone). Began a full-time career in academics in 2010 at Roseman University of Health Sciences (formerly the University of Southern Nevada) teaching MBA level accounting, finance and organizational behavior. In 2011, moved to San Diego, California as an Assistant Professor at Ashford University. Served as Academic Department Chair of the Quantitative Methods- Accounting, Finance and Economics in the Forbes School of Business. While in San Diego, Dr. Goussak served on various university committees and was appointed Chair of the Institutional Review Board in 2015. Converted to adjunct status at Ashford University in 2017 in order to move back to Las Vegas. In 2018, accepted a Subject Matter Expert position at The American Women’s College at Bay Path University focused on designing courses in Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting and Business Ethics taking on an adjunct faculty role in late 2018. This transfer allowed me to move back to Las Vegas with my family.

Spent the first 12 years of his professional career in the hospitality business primarily in the Las Vegas casino-gaming industry working at the Dunes Hotel and Casino, Four Queens Hotel and Casino and the Riviera Hotel and Casino. Primarily worked in accounting, finance and internal controls. After leaving the gaming industry, became Chief Financial Officer of the Manpower Temporary Staffing agency. In 2002, Dr. Goussak purchased a Las Vegas commercial printing business serving small and medium sized business in Las Vegas.

Personally, Dr. Goussak has been married to the former Cindy Riceberg for the past 21 years and they have two daughters and an 9-year old toy poodle named Milkshake (he really runs the house). When free-time permits itself, Dr. Goussak enjoys spending time with his girls and traveling.
