James Scripture is an assistant professor in the Cybersecurity program with a focus on digital forensics.

A 36-year veteran of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), Professor Scripture was most recently a Special Agent with the organization. In that role, he was assigned to a wide array of investigations, including cases pertaining to general criminal and national security matters. A member of the FBI Computer Analysis Response Team (CART), a unit that specializes in extracting and examining digital evidence, Professor Scripture spent the last 20 years of his career as a computer forensic examiner. Professor Scripture routinely participated in the execution of federal search warrants and conducted hundreds of digital forensic examinations involving numerous types of digital evidence, as well as frequently provided expert testimony for criminal legal proceedings.

Outside the classroom, Professor Scripture spends his time with family, friends, working out and hiking with his dog.
