Jasmine Williams, PhD

Dr. Jasmine Williams has authored several book chapters and served as lead author on numerous studies. Prior to joining the faculty at SFSU, she was an Assistant Professor and Dissertation editor for the College of Education at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina. Dr. Williams has also spent several years as a dissertation coach and editor for doctoral students in PhD and EdD programs all over the country.

Her research interests are oriented in qualitative research with focus on culturally responsive educational environments, practices for historically marginalized students and the preparation of social justice leaders in K-12, social justice emphasis in doctoral studies, and the application of Afrocentric paradigms in doctoral research.

She earned her PhD in Educational Leadership from Prairie View A&M University, her MBA from Texas Woman’s University, and her undergraduate degree in English from Spelman College.
