With nearly two decades in the field of education, Dr. Stratton has taught students from the kindergarten to the graduate level. She is committed to sharing her areas of expertise in multicultural education and literacy, which has led her to serve local and global organizations promoting literacy development. To create change in children's literature regarding underrepresented groups, Dr. Stratton hosts a blog to raise awareness about athletes with exceptionalities who play adaptive sports. She has had the opportunity to interview many world class athletes including two-time Paralympian, Nick Springer, and MLB pitcher, Jim Abbott. However, her greatest accomplishment is raising her three children who love to read and believe anything is possible.
