Joe Salvadore

Adjunct Professor

MA, Worcester State University, Education
BA, University of Massachusetts at Amherst, History

After graduating from UMass Amherst, where I also was in the ROTC program, I was commissioned an officer in the U.S. Army.  After the military, I completed my MA in Education at Worcester State and accepted a teaching position at Quaboag Regional in Warren, Massachusetts. There I taught a wide range of social studies courses and grade levels before finally settling down as a high school teacher of U.S. History and serving as the Department Chair.

After 18 years teaching, I switched to Administration and have served as the Assistant Principal for the past three years. I do miss teaching and talking history every day. However, being an Adjunct in the Liberal Arts program at Bay Path over the past 9 years has allowed me to still teach and talk social studies and history.

I have found Bay Path students to be "driven" to achieve in class and often exceed the expectations of the assignments. My wife, Michele Salvadore, also is an Adjunct Professor at Bay Path teaching Health Science and WELL courses. We have three children and two cats.
