Laurie Cousseau, MA

Laurie J. Cousseau is an AOGPE (Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators) Accredited Training Fellow and Director of the Green River Literacy and Learning Center located in the Berkshires. She was the former Director of The Kildonan Teacher Training Institute in Amenia, New York.

She has more than twenty years of experience as an educator working and consulting in a variety of public, independent and clinical settings including a working farm, Amherst College and The Reading Institute in Williamstown, Massachusetts. She has widely presented at a number of conferences and schools including the Diana Hanbury King Academy based in Melbourne, Australia. She is a member of The Southport CoLAB whose mission is to integrate research, practice, advocacy and training to effect positive outcomes for people with learning and attention issues.

She has a Masters of Arts in Reading Education, holds level II Vermont certification as a Reading Specialist PreK-12 and Middle Grades Language Arts, is a (CALT) Certified Academic Language Therapist and certified by the IDA (International Dyslexia Association) as a Dyslexia Therapist.
