Sandra Rouse-Berry, PhD
Sandra Rouse, Ph.D., currently serves as the Dean of Students at Newberry College in Newberry, SC. Before joining Newberry College, Rouse served as Director of Education and Research for the National Association for Campus Activities. In her twenty-two years in higher education, she has worked in housing and residence life, judicial affairs, academic advising, and with first-year and retention programs. In addition to her administrative roles, Rouse has frequently been a course instructor at the institutions where she served. Rouse has received several awards for her contributions in higher education. A first-generation college student, the recognition she is most proud of was receiving her alma mater’s 2019 Career Achievement Award. She holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She earned her M.Ed. in Student Personnel Services from the University of South Carolina and received her B.A. degree with a double major in Psychology and Dance from Columbia College, Columbia, SC.
