Thomas Loper, EdD
Dr. Tom Loper is Associate Provost & Dean, School of Arts, Science and Management. He has pursued a path of lifelong learning and combines a career as both an executive and a student.
As the first Director of Human Resource Planning and Development for the Fortune 500 company, Dennison Manufacturing, Inc. and Founder of NuCedar Mills, Inc., Dr. Loper has had an impressive career in the areas of Human Resource Management, Marketing, General Management and Entrepreneurship. In addition, Dr. Loper has served as a Race Relations Education Specialist in the U.S. Navy and has taught as a visiting executive in graduate programs at Harvard, Babson, and Brandeis, among other schools. His more creative manufacturing ideas have been formally recognized by the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office six times. Dr. Loper is a member of the Bay Path College Innovators Roundtable.
When not visiting his children and grandchildren in Boston, Manhattan and Washington, D.C., he is likely to be found on a stream or along the shore fly fishing for wild salmon, trout or stripers.
Dr. Loper earned his doctorate in Education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA (1980) where his research focused on performance management systems and the emerging world of organizational development.
