Accounting (MS) Degree: Public Accounting Concentration

The Public Accounting concentration is designed for students looking to pursue a career in public accounting, specifically in tax or audit. This concentration helps students prepare for the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) examination with courses aligned with the four sections of the CPA exam covering financial reporting, tax, law, audit, and cost accounting.

The MS in Accounting is also designed to satisfy the 150- semester- hour educational requirement for licensure as a Certified Public Accountant as adopted by over 40 states, including Massachusetts and Connecticut.
