Play Therapy Matters

A community-based program, which has teamed up with local agencies to provide skilled occupational therapy services to support children, parents, caregivers, and educators.

At Play Matters Therapy, we envision our program growing to reach the individuals with the most need and providing quality services through a client and family center approach. We believe all children and youth have the right to reach their potential and we will strive to assist them in reaching their goals.

Services Offered

All skilled interventions are provided by, or under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist. The following are samples of group

Parent & Caregiver Information

Play Matters Therapy offers an array of services individualized to each of the child we serve. Parents, caregivers, and educators comprise a dynamic care network that is instrumental to each child’s development and overall well-being. Members of the care network are partners with us in the treatment planning process. Goals and interventions are planned to directly reflect the needs and interests of the clients we serve. In addition to the services provided to the child, we provide consultation, education, in-services, and support groups to directly address the needs of the child’s care network. Parent or caregiver consent is required in order for Play Matters Therapy to provide direct support to a child (evaluation, individual therapy session). The timely return of consent forms is crucial to our ability to begin occupational therapy process. Prospective Students

Play Matters Therapy accommodates Bay Path University students throughout its network for both Level I and Level II fieldwork placements. Level II students are required to complete an interview prior to being accepted into our student program. Our Level II program provides strong support for each student while also encouraging independence. This combination allows for each student to engage in professional growth and develop their unique identity as a future occupational therapy practitioner.
