Program Learning Outcomes

Graduates of the MSEd/EdS in Reading and Literacy Instruction are expected to demonstrate achievement in all areas of the program. Specifically, graduates will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the:

• Massachusetts Professional Standards for Teachers (2015)
• English Language Arts Massachusetts Frameworks (ELA) (2017) & Common Core State Standards (CCSS)
• Knowledge and Practice Standards for Teachers of Reading (KPS) (IDA, 2018)
• Subject Matter Knowledge (SMK) Guidelines for MA Reading Specialist (DESE, 2019)
