Honors students take part in a variety of leadership building opportunities including:

• Honors Council. Elected by fellow students, the Council plans yearly trips, social activities, community projects, as well as the dinner for graduating honors program seniors.
• Harvard Model United Nations. Working as a team, Bay Path students attend the prestigious Harvard Model UN which draws participants from around the world to engage first-hand in diplomacy, debate, and exploration of current global topics.
• Honors Symposium. Held in the spring, this event showcases senior theses and special projects, and is the first step in the final presentation—the final Honors Piece.

Out-of-class activities with the larger community teaches civic responsibility and citizenship—making honors students aware of the impact they can have on individuals and the world around them.

A sampling of community service projects:

• Serving meals at the Loaves and Fishes Center
• Coordinating the collection of food packages for the Emergency Food Pantry
• Volunteering at the Berkshire Hills Music Academy, a school for challenged yet musically gifted young people
