Occupational Therapy Bridge Program

Graduate Admission Requirements

Accepting Applications for January, 2024

Track One

A student with an associate's degree in either OTA or PTA will be required to take 109 credits over the course of four years to earn their Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) degree.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an Associate's degree in OTA or OTA from a regionally accredited institution
  • Currently hold an OTA or PTA license

Track Two

A student with an associate's degree in either OTA or PTA and a bachelor's Degree (in any field) will be required to take 81 credits over the course of three years to earn their Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) degree.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an Associate's Degree in OTA or OTA from a regionally accredited institution
  • Successful completion of a Bachelor's Degree in any field from a regionally accredited institution
  • Currently hold an OTA or PTA license
  • One course in each of the following must be completed (within the last five years) with a grade of B- or better:
    • Anatomy & Physiology I (with lab)
    • Anatomy & Physiology II (with lab)
  • One course in each of the following must be completed (within the last ten years) with a grade of B-or better:
    • Developmental Psychology (Lifespan Birth to Death)
    • Statistics
    • Sociology, Anthropology, or Culture

Note: Bay Path University's MOT Programs do not accept prior work experience or course credits to take the place of any required courses in the MOT curriculum.


For consideration, applicants of both tracks must submit the following admissions requirements:

  1. A completed online application - Apply Now
  2. All official undergraduate transcripts (a GPA of 3.0 or higher)
  3. A personal statement (you may wish to address what occupational therapy means to you and why you have chosen a career path in this profession)
  4. A current resume
  5. Three recommendations - Download the form here
  6. A signed Essential Functions form. Download the Essential Functions form. Note: This document must be submitted with a handwritten signature
  7. A copy of your OTA/PTA license
  8. Interview (to be determined by admissions)
