Carpe Diem! Greetings from Bay Path President Sandra J. Doran
Greetings alumni and friends of Bay Path!
I am so pleased to share this latest issue of the Bay Pathway with you.
In these last few months, we have celebrated at in-person events, many covered within these pages, reminding us of the joy and energy that fills a room or a space when we come together. Whether a gathering was big or small, I heard the same refrain: “It’s so good to be back with one another again.”
And in the coming days and weeks, I look forward to welcoming members of our Bay Path alumni community back to campus. As we salute the 125th anniversary of our founding, there will be a wealth of opportunities for you to connect and engage with your University, including our 10th annual Cybersecurity Summit, featuring the chief security officer of TikTok; our reunion on October 15, honoring the classes of 2012, 1997 and 1972; and the biennial Innovative Thinking & Entrepreneurship Lecture, among others. There is so much happening at Bay Path, and you can take great pride in your alma mater.
Finally, at the core of what we do and what drives our mission are our students. Our 125th Commencement on May 15 awarded degrees to over 800 associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral graduates. Congratulations, new alumni!
Our continual focus on student success is also part of a broader set of commitments described in our Building One Bay Path strategic plan, the highlights of which are included in this issue. Our planning teams have been mindful custodians of the legacy you have created, and they have built on the past while looking at the needs of the present to ensure the future success of students and this institution.
With sincere appreciation for all you do for Bay Path, and in the spirit that guides us all: Carpe Diem!
Sandra J. Doran, J.D.
