Bay Path's Performing Arts came back with a spooky start!
Live theater was back in action this weekend with a successful performance of Shuddersome! The play was presented by the performing arts department on the Carr Hill lawn, with the local community invited to attend.
“Preparing for this production has been nothing short of amazing,” shared Lola Casillas, the Carni-Fall Event Planner. “To be part of live theater's long-awaited return is so special. I've never worked on an outdoor play before, so this process was super interesting to participate in. Everyone has put so much hard work into this production.”
Before the production, there was a pre-show carnival filled with games, prizes, pumpkin and face painting, and a costume contest.
This was the first live play the Bay Path performing arts department has put on since the spring of 2020. “Not being able to perform properly for the last few years has shown its difficulty and has made me and so many others miss it so much,” stated Erin Somes, Shuddersome Assistant Director. “But being back, no matter how stressful, it's the best feeling ever.”
