For the past seven years, Bay Path students, staff, faculty, friends and family have gathered together as a community to celebrate Academic Achievement Day, an event that highlights the unique perspectives and accomplishments of hundreds of students.

This year, the event fit seamlessly into the University theme, “CommUNITY.” Academic Achievement Day featured over 230 students (and a few faculty!) from nearly every department in the University who participated in 42 different presentations or performances on topics in the social sciences, humanities, natural science, and the arts. Throughout the day, these students and faculty shared their research, their talents, and their experiences with their peers, providing attendees with an opportunity to learn about such subjects as Puerto Rican diaspora in the Connecticut River Valley; explore the notion of bravery in the form of Neville Longbottom from the Harry Potter book series; follow along with a group of students who toured Memphis, Birmingham, Selma, and Montgomery in pursuit of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.; drop into a Women in STEM poster session to explore the world of science; and have a discussion about the language of gender identity.
