Bay Path University launches master’s degree in Digital Marketing
Bay Path University has launched a new master’s degree in digital marketing. Offered through the university’s Graduate School of Arts, Science and Management, the 36-credit online degree is designed to equip learners with the advanced tools and strategies that define today’s digital landscape. Graduates of the program are prepared for the growing, ever-changing and fast-paced atmosphere of digital marketing.
“Social media, websites, mobile phones, digital platforms, data analytics and data visualization are all critical business communication tools, used in every industry. Knowing how these tools and technologies work, when and how to apply them, and how to extract and analyze the information they provide is a valuable, important and highly marketable skill set,” says Dr. Robin Saunders, Bay Path’s director of graduate programs in digital marketing.
Aligned with both the American Marketing Association and the Digital Marketing Institute, the program will explore emerging technologies, UX design, search engine optimization, web analytics, transmedia storytelling and social media strategy, preparing students for careers ranging from digital strategist to chief marketing officer.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics forecasts that jobs for advertising, promotions and marketing managers will grow by 8% over the next seven years. Additionally, job market analytics company Burning Glass Technologies projects that master’s degree holders in this field will earn an average of 27.4% more than those who only hold bachelor’s degrees.
“This is a growing, exciting field,” explains Saunders. “We have created the MS in Digital Marketing program to provide students with the opportunity to expand their communication skills, keep up with the digital age, and ultimately create ideas that connect, inspire, and engage.”
The program is 100% online and offers three start dates throughout the year. For more information, visit the program website.
