Sammy Fazzino '20
Samantha formed lifelong friendships and found a community that encouraged and supported her.
For Sammy Fazzino ’20, it was difficult to pick just one favorite memory from her five-year journey at Bay Path. Instead, she told us which aspect of the school stands out as her absolute favorite—the people. Samantha formed lifelong friendships and found a community that encouraged and supported her. This helped her constantly challenge herself and improve her abilities—academically, mentally, physically, and socially.
“Whether it was my advisors encouraging me to enroll in upper-level classes or the (best) personal trainer, Rob, pushing me to take a boxing class,” she says, “wherever you turned, there was always endless support and encouragement to push yourself past what you think you are capable of. I will forever be grateful for that.”
Now, after gaining her master’s in occupational therapy and passing the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy exam, Samantha is working with an agency fostering independence in children with autism spectrum disorder and other varying abilities. She believes her learning is truly just beginning and looks forward to trying a bit of everything and not limiting herself.
Samantha advises students to believe in themselves the way their professors do.
“You are capable. You are destined for great things.”
