Leadership & Organizational Studies - Online

The Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Organizational Studies (LOS) makes it possible for women with work experience and demanding lives to finish their Bachelor’s degree in as little as 12 months.

This high quality program brings together professional women from across the region and around the United States to make a difference for each other, their communities, and their organizations. Graduates of the LOS program have the knowledge and skills to become effective organizational leaders who motivate others at all levels and facilitate change.

Organizational Studies explores the meaning of organizations in society: how they function, how they create impact, and how they change. It also examines how organizations impact people and how people behave within organizations. Organizational Studies is grounded in behavioral science research (psychology/sociology/anthropology); therefore, as an LOS student, you will learn to evaluate and apply evidence-based best practices in organizational studies in your own professional life.

One critical aspect of organizational studies that the TAWC program pays careful attention to is effective and ethical leadership. As a student in this program, you will learn about best practices in leadership and management, within the context of a 21st century global, virtual, and multi-cultural world. As such, it intentionally builds off of the foundation you will develop in the TAWC WELL (We Empower Learners and Leaders) program. The LOS program also intentionally builds great flexibility into your major, giving you the chance to choose from a variety of electives that meet your personal needs.
