State Authorization

Bay Path University operates under the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (SARA) and can enroll degree-seeking students living in other states for online courses.

National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity AgreementsSARA is an agreement among member states, districts and territories that establishes comparable national standards for interstate offering of postsecondary distance education courses and programs.

The goal of SARA is to provide easy access to online courses for degree-seeking students looking at institutions outside of their state.

SARA is overseen by a National Council and administered by four regional education compacts (Midwestern Higher Education Compact, New England Board of Higher Education, Southern Regional Education Board, and the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education).
